    Went to Houston, back home

So I went to the Livestock Rodeo in Houston, and now I'm home.

The Rodeo was amazing. First time I ever went there. My aunt lives in Houston, so I took a spring break trip there. It's also the first time I ever been to Texas or actually out of the state of California.

I arrived at Bush Intercontinental Airport and it was pretty cool. Not as neat as LAX, but IAH is pretty amazing in itself as well. My aunt lives somewhere in up NW of Houston. It was ok. I couldn't help but notice some common things about Texas:

    • Not everybody has the "Texan accent" but a good many do.
    • LOTS of freeways. And feeder roads
    • Lots of cars everywhere, but not the same amount of sidewalks as LA
    • The boys are really hot there. I mean, for real. Things you won't find in Cali.

    Well that's some stuff.

So I went to the rodeo 3 for 3 days. I saw a John Legend (amazing!) performance. He was pretty good. Some of the food was cool too. Especially at Juicy's. There was a roasted corn hut, and it was absolutely delicious. And the jumbo corndogs were a delight. The rides at the carnival were pretty much your typical stuff, though the Ferris wheel was humongous. Reliant Stadium was also a nice building to go into. So that's really all about the Rodeo I can think of.

I visited MFAH (Museum of Fine Arts Houston). They had some neat collections.

And that's really anything major. So I'm glad to be back home with Grams and Dorito. It's been a long week, so I couldn't post this any sooner.

    No pics - sorry!
