June 11 San Francisco mystery solved!Well lets start at the Golden Gate Bridge scene. I was there at the GGB, when somebody shoved me right off the railing! Can you believe that? I clasped my hands on one of the rungs to hold on, but it was really hard. Thankfully Cricket called in for help, and the Coast Guard came up, and got a cherry picker to get me down.
There was a big scene as I reached ashore. My mom had this concerned look on her face as I walked out. Cricket was a bit worried too. Mom didn't want me to leave her line of sight now. "Too dangerous" she said. I was just this close to nabbing the bad guys. I followed one of the guys this morning lurking outside the hotel room, and chased him out into the streets. I couldn't let him go, not without a question. We got towards the GGB, until I lost him in the crowd. I managed to hold onto his bracelet as I fell. Guess what it said? Silverlight Studios.
You know what's really weird? Silverlight Studios is the company that shoots "Lords of the Willow Heights"A coincidence? I don't think so. Luckily there was a number on it. At the studio's trailers in Balboa Park, I managed to sneak in to get into one of the computers to find out the who the bracelet belonged to, while Cricket distracted some employee. I was shocked. Really shocked. So shocked that you couldn't believe it. Turns out that it was nobody other than Justin. The guy that plays the bad guy on Lords. I went to his trailer to confront him. I knew there was something similar about him to that weirdo on the train ride. All along, that drug deal was his idea.
I confronted him, and he tried to run out, but lucky Cricket tripped him. Fell right on his face. Cops came and case closed.
Now I can finally relax in San Francisco. Too bad there's only 2 days left. June 07 Explosion at Ghiradelli's and a warehouse full of pirated musicBoy did I have a wild Thursday. It started off with a bang. After munching on some crisp croissants at Cafe Luna, we immediately went to Ghiradelli Square. They already had everything set-up. Here's how it went:
Mom argues at Justin over his so-called "plans". Mom won't take no for an answer. Unfortunately, Pear Inc., has bombs set up around the square. Mom just realizes this, and as Justin is leaving the square, Mom starts screaming "BOMB!!!" and telling people to get out of the square. The scene is utter chaos as tourists and locals scurry about wonder which direction to go. Then BOOM! One of the buildings explodes and debris is flying and people are running like crazy. I was just blowing bubbles (lame, I know) and Cricket was playing hopscotch. All of a sudden we're running too, and as the bomb explodes, I trip over and hurt myself, while Cricket falls into a pit. Lady Lena comes to the rescue and pulls Cricket out pronto, and helps me up and carries me to safety since my right leg is broken. Cricket and I thank her oh-so much, and she's suppose to act all modest. Then sirens roar and people continue to keep running in fear as the huge Ghiradelli sign topples over.
So it's really just a scene of chaos and pandemonium. Everything went well, until one of the fire trucks smashed right into the building. Seems like someone mismarked the arrow path for the vehicles to stop at. Luckily no one got hurt, and the damage wasn't too bad. Everything else was faked.
I also forgot to mention the other day, that I discovered that one of my carry-on bags wasn't mind. I peeked into it just so I could try find something to identify the person, and I found a real BOMB. It had a timer with all those twisty wires and looked really real. I think that's why the weirdo guy has been looking for me. I gave it to SFPD right away.
Anyways, while the cops took the bomb, I still held the bag it came in. I took a closer look. There was an address on it. As if a criminal couldn't get any dumber. I traced it via Live Maps to some place in the warehouse district. I asked Cricket if she wanted to tag along, and although she had plans far other than this, she agreed to help back me up.
We caught the BART over and then got on a bus to the place. I only wanted to see what business was going on in there. The warehouse was you're typical warehouse - sheet metal outside, gravel-ish pavement, stuffy windows, and the usual bit. Cricket and I conferred what we should do. I would go inside and spy what's going on, while Cricket waited inconspicuously. If I didn't come out in 10 minutes, call the cops. We didn't need to worry : The place was locked up tight. I borrowed Cricket's hairpin to try to break down the dumb door. Cricket was sweating like a pig, even though there wasn't anyone around. I crept in, and took a peek around.
Crates stood everywhere. Some overflowing with tons of papers. I took a gander at them, and they seemed to be about record artists or something. Numbers and figures went endlessly next to names. Hmm. I wonder what they were all about. With the abbreviations and notations, I couldn't make much out of it, except that this looked like record artists and they're profits or something. I took a look in another crate and found them full of CD cases. Was this a music company's warehouse I wondered? I examined the CD a bit more closely. Looked very similar to Colbie Caillat's latest album, yet there were strange marks and stuff. I glanced over at the far end, and saw some funky machines. On the side, it said ScanCopier. As I looked around in a few other crates, I found many CD's yet they didn't look right. As I started putting two and two together, I realized that this place was an illegal music pirating center. These guys sold cheap copies of the real thing on the market for a cheap price. What did this have to do with a bomb though?
I didn't have much time to figure out. Some guy came through an office door and spotted me. I don't think an excuse would have worked. I vamoosed. So much for there being nobody.
I almost collided into Cricket on the way out. "Finally! I thought my have to call the cops Sam. What'd you-"
I yanked her and cried that they're coming after us. We ran as fast as we could pull ourselves over to the bus station. Luckily we just got on before the bad guys reached us. I filled Cricket in on what was going on in there, and she called the cops on her cell phone.
Later that night, after a long rest, we got news that many of the stuff got pulled, and a few of the bad guys got caught. Though there were some that escaped with the more important evidence, so it was far from being done. More on this stuff later. June 04 Staying at The Parsonage and just had a Chinese dinnerSo this morning, Mom, Cricket, and I arrived at the train station, got our luggage, and took the (company sponsored) limo over to the bed and breakfast we're staying at called The Parsonage. It's one of those B&B's you hear about in San Francisco, housed in a nice Victorian house. The Parsonage happens to be pretty old fashion, with old world splendor. Definitely far from contemporary, but I'm fine with that. Mom gets her own room, while Cricket and I share a room.Cricket left earlier to hang with some family here, so I went with Mom over to the set. There scene was being shot over at the S.F. City Hall. Jewel (Mom's character) is threatning her beloved boyfriend Justin Rousseau (the devious, innocent-looking type) that she'll show the city council members what he really plans to do with the Crumbleberry site. The Crumbleberry site happens to be one of the most oldest homes in the Haight-Ashbury district, dating to the pre-1906 era, and is rumored to be the site where one of SanFran's notorious gangsters hid his treasures. Of course, Justin, being the greedy dog he is, is planning to knock the place down and build a brand new "contemporary" B&B place. According to what he says, it's legal. But he told everyone else that he was going to restore it to it's original splendor (what a lie).So yeah, anyways Jewel figured this out, and wants to tell City Hall what's really going on. Justin's going to try talking to her, and stop her.I got bored, so I told Jewel I would take the BART to the San Francisco Shopping Centre. I didn't want to shop, I just wanted to explore. The place is kinda cool. On an architectural scale. The big dome in the center is absolutely a sight to see.I was walking back to set, when I saw that weird guy on the train earlier. The fatso with the wire-rimmed glasses. He was cruising along Market St., and I almost thought he was following me. That is until he went through the intersection, and didn't keep his eyes on the road. Really big traffic wreck. I even saw a car flip over. I heard nobody got killed at least. I wonder why he was staring at me. Stalker? I hope not. I was so creeped out that I didn't check out the license plate. So I got to my mom, and she said that Cricket & I could get to star in a scene with her. Somewhere called Ghiradelli Square. There would be a moment where she talks with her friends, and some explosion happens. Everybody's suppose to run. Seems like I'm going to trip and fall, and Mom will help me. Cricket might be walking alongside of me before the explosion happens. They're putting some action elements into the dumb soap opera. I'm not really sure if I want to or not. I'm kinda camera shy, despite being brave most of the times. Cricket wants to though. She just dreams of being on TV. It could be her big break she says.Later, we all ad a dinner in Chinatown at Moo Long's. Over some chow mein, Mom reminds me and Cricket that we have to keep pretending she's my Aunt and I'm from Kansas. Cricket is just a friend of her "niece from Kansas". She's still keeping with that storyline that she's very young and doesn't have kids. Even thought that's not true, or else they wouldn't even consider casting her. Whatever. I just wished she would come home instead. The sesame chicken was delicious. So now I'm back at the B&B. I'm just finishing up on my Vaio laptop. Cricket has already dozed off. Can't wait for tomorrow!June 03 On the train to San FranciscoWell right now, I'm on the Amtrak train to San Francisco. I should be pulling into S.F. in about an hour or two. So far, the train ride has been great.
My mother has been napping in her seat (no bothering from her!), and Cricket and I played some card games and pointed out some sights from the window. The Amtrak train is really neat. I've never been on a train ride before, but I love it. Much better than an airplane. No hassles, delays, and I feel much more relaxed here. We took the night ride, and seeing the stars in the rural parts of California is really cool. Never see this many back in Santa Martina. Cricket and I have been having a blast. We just saw the sunrise, and it was spectacular from the window view. I could ride on trains forever.
Across the aisle from us is this strange guy. I don't know why, but he's really bothering me. He's one of those guys that sits behind the desk at work, with his think black framed glasses, and obese figure. That's just saying it bluntly. He's been sweating since the beginning of the ride, and it's so disgusting. Ugh! What really arouses me, is the bag he's holding. I remember he brought a ratty leather suitcase when we got on the train, but his bag is really something else. It's green, and seems to be holding something glowing inside of it. Or casts some lights. I tried to peek at whatever it was earlier, while he took a nap, but he woke up before I could get closer. I wonder what secrets he's hiding.
So anyways, I'm going to listen to my Zune player, as we get closer and closer to S.F. I'll try to update again soon.
P.S. I
June 01 Going to San Francisco! So school has ended at SMHS, and now it's time for the summer! It's been a great year, but I'm glad to have a nice long break. I'm going to be taking a trip to San Francisco with Lady Lena (Mom) and hopefully it won't be a disaster. Cricket, one of my other friends, is also going to come along with me to visit some relatives there as well. Lady Lena has some scenes to shoot for her oh-so boring TV soap opera "Lord of the Willow Heights". I plan on taking in some sights, and maybe some boys.
Well I'm packing now. Too bad Grams couldn't go. She preferred to mind the apartment, and have a peaceful time without me. Plus she said something about a "knitting jamboree" to come during that time. Hopes she has fun. I wanted to take Dorito, but he won't have a place to stay. So he's going to stay home on this one.
Marissa is off on yet another one of her family vacations. I think in the Canary Islands, around there somewhere. Holly is attending a doggy camp this year, and Dot is taking a vacation with her family to the Netherlands.
So I better get going! |
