September 22 I hate reading RebeccaWe're reading the book Rebecca in English II.
It's suppose to be "one of those classics that you'll learn to love".
I can see how some people feel about it that way, but to me, it's just plain boring. This woman is letting everyone control her, and she doesn't even put in her own thoughts. It's like she doesn't care. She doesn't do anything to make life better, and she cries about it all the time.
If she doesn't like that place, she should get a divorce with Maxim, find a new life, and get done with it.
Rebecca to me is very silly. It has a lot of great vocabulary, diction, and literal elements, but it's long, arduous, and to me, a waste of time.
Otherwise than that, school is fine.
Here's the Amazon link of the book if you're interested: http://www.amazon.com/Rebecca-Daphne-du-Maurier/dp/0380730405/ref=pd_bbs_sr_2/102-9928442-8606517?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1190488948&sr=8-2 September 17 School started again and life so farI know this happened like a month ago already, but school has started.
My sophomore year is fine. I've got a new steady boyfriend, Frank, and life is good.
I've solved at least 1 major mystery lately, where the bad guy is some psycho guy who likes to do pickpocketing, yet at the same time give it to the needy.
In the end, it turned out to be this new guy in town called Mark Sanders, who seems really nice (and really is!), but thinks he's Robin Hood by stealing from rich-looking passer-bys and placing the goodies he steals to charities around the town.
Even though he kind of did it for the good, what he did (in itself) is still bad though. He's now in jail, and has to pay fines and do community service.
He's been doing this kind of thing along the West Coast and the FBI have been looking for him.
It was fun catching him!
Well that's how life is going so far. I'll add more about my boyfriend later. |
